We used Top Notch for a couple years now and he just clicked with our ewes, after his passing this last breeding season we were left wondering what our next move will be, then we saw this guy come available we did some serious thinking on the direction of the flock or should I say, continued direction of the flock. We have used Top Tier sons and grandsons for a few years now and we love how they mature, develop and pair with these ewes. They are predictable, consistent and just flat work, why not try out a genetic brother to the legendary Top Tier. The main difference is Skys dam is the sister to Top Tiers dam and Sky comes in that FF package. We know these genetics hit on such a huge variety of types and kinds and we hope the same out of Skys The Limit. This guy is a proven breeder adding structural correctness, extra rack and rib shape with plenty of muscle and mass being FF.

When I saw this guy I wasn’t necessarily looking for a buck after the purchase of Skys The Limit, But then we saw Where’s Waldo. Waldo’s silhouette which reminds me so much of his sire Camo. We bred a couple years to Camo and those lambs have been phenomenal with several champions and keeper ewes!! They have that amazing show ring presence that seem to just stand out and those females have been remarkable in the lambing barn making an amazing next generation. We hope to put this guy to work for our 2025 lamb crop and see how close he breeds to his sire and hope for more champions and keeper ewe lambs out of Waldo.
We are big believers In putting emphasis on the dam side of the genetics and Where’s Waldo’s dam 1919 has been amazing for Genesis Show lambs making Stud Buck, killer ewes and national champions along with so many other just very complete show lambs. From what we see we have faith in this genetic package.
Shellhouse Livestock purchased Where’s Waldo at Blue Grass Babes sale through an embryo purchase. Shellhouse Livestock used him heavy on their ewe lambs and I’m excited to follow to see how they develop and perform.
